Candle Burning Tips
How to get the most out of your candle
- Never burn unattended Burn on heat resistant surface
- Discontinue use when wax burns to 1/2"
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
- Always keep wicks trimmed to 1/4" to 1/2" inch
- At each lighting, burn at least one hour for every inch in diameter of the container
- Burn until the candle forms a meltpool that extends across the entire jar. Failure to do so will result in a tunneling effect which will continue for the life of the candle and leave wax on the sides of the jar.
- Extinguish completely when done burning
Spilled Wax
In most cases, spilled wax can be cleaned up with hot, soapy water. If wax spills on your carpet or furniture, you should seek professional advice from experts such as carpet cleaners or furniture refinishers. You can prevent accidents by using candles with care and as instructed.
Reusing Candle Containers
Soy wax is easy to clean up for the most part, wash out your containers easily with soap and water. Empty containers can be reused for crafting, cotton balls, paper clips, potpourri, you name it!
